“Biology is the study of living organisms, divided into many specialized fields that cover their morphology, physiology, anatomy, behavior, origin, and distribution.” —  Merriam Webster
In this course, students will gain a solid understanding of definition and application of the inner workings of biology. As a college-prep high school biology course, it will set the stage for success in their high school years and prepare them for college level courses, and give them an understanding of the basic biological world that surrounds them each day of their lives. This course is a survey of general biology including botany, the purpose and design of human anatomy and physiology, the methodology and philosophy of the life sciences, genetics, the variety and design of vertebrates and invertebrates, and cellular and molecular biology.
