Focusing on God’s providence in the development of American history, this class examines the historical, spiritual, philosophical and political roots of our country. Integral to a study of American history is developing an understanding of our government in its purpose and process. Students will engage in reading, discussion, essays and research papers, creative projects, debates, and tests.
Prerequisite: General Literature and Composition or equivalent course
This course fulfills: American History (10 credits); Government (5 credits)
Discount: Students are strongly encouraged to take this course concurrently with American Literature and will receive a $50 discount when enrolled in both courses.
